An imagined world of ancient manuscripts, botanical forms and quiet mystery. Toothwarm draws a thread between European folklore and the writings of Tang-era China.
OLD-WORLD STORIES✦BOTANICAL INSPIRATION✦A NEW CHAPTER
CHAPTER I / THE LEGEND
One small myth. A world of stories.
Before modern dentistry, cultures gave the unknown a shape. The imagined tooth worm became a story about pain—recorded in different forms, across distant places.

E
A CREATURE OF THE IMAGINATION
The European tooth-worm legend
Historical accounts describe an eel-like creature in England and maggot-like figures in northern Germany. These were folklore explanations of toothache, not evidence of creatures living inside teeth.
A surviving edition of Qianjin Yaofang, attributed to Tang-era Sun Simiao and revised in the Song period, preserves references to “worm teeth” and historical fumigation. This is cultural history, not a verified formula or lineage for the current product.
✧ Historical belief is not evidence of modern product efficacy.
THE TOOTHWARM POINT OF VIEW

The atmosphere of an old library. The delicate lines of a botanical engraving. An object with a story to tell. Our visual world borrows from the past, while our product information must remain clear and verifiable.
